The duo was instantly struck by how "wild" the character designs are becoming, especially the menacing (and slightly unsettling) transformation of the Deep Sea King .

Much of the tension came from Saitama being elsewhere (and seemingly oblivious) while the City J heroes were being systematically dismantled.
