Server 2008 R2 Restore: Windows

: Select System Image Recovery from the list of system recovery options.

Use this method if the server will not boot or you are migrating to new hardware. You will need the original Windows Server 2008 R2 installation media (DVD or ISO).

Use this if the OS is functional but you need to revert registry settings, Active Directory, or system files.

: The wizard will scan for the latest system image. If your backup is on an external drive or network share, connect it and browse to that location.
