In this version of the story, you are a "Variant"—someone who stepped off the path of destiny. Just like Loki in the first episode, "Glorious Purpose," you find yourself standing in a beige, endless office space that feels like a cross between a 1970s DMV and a futuristic purgatory. The Awakening As you watch, you realize the TVA’s power: they use Infinity Stones as paperweights. The "Glorious Purpose" Loki spent his life chasing was just a script written by someone else. You realize that even a god can be a pawn, and the only thing more dangerous than a man with a plan is a man who has lost everything and has nothing left to do but burn the system down. By the time the credits roll, the story has shifted. It’s no longer about a villain trying to rule the world. It’s about a broken man realizing he has no control over his life—and the terrifying discovery that there is a "Greater Loki" out there killing TVA agents in the shadows. The file finishes loading. You see Loki, fresh from his escape in Endgame , land in the Gobi Desert. He tries to give a grand speech, but the TVA arrives. They don't care about his "godhood." They reset the timeline with a click of a button, and suddenly, he’s in a jumpsuit, being processed like a common criminal. The Realization
