Feeling the weight of his family’s trauma, Charlie (Gabriel Bateman) wanders into the jungle and discovers a group of poachers with caged animals. He attempts to free a monkey but is spotted after throwing rocks at the armed men. A tense chase ensues, further jeopardizing the family’s safety in their supposed "haven".

The story picks up with the Fox family still dealing with the fallout of Allie Fox (Justin Theroux) sinking their boat to prevent their departure.

Margot calls JJ Raban , an officer in Washington D.C. who has pursued the family for years. She offers to trade Allie’s location for immunity for herself and her children. However, her plan hits a wall when the officer reveals he has moved on from the case and refuses to help, leaving Margot devastated.
