The story follows Jolie Guidry (), a professional web designer who is dreading her return home to Lafayette, Louisiana, for the holidays. It is her first time back since a painful breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Foster ( Hunter Burke ), and she is devastated to learn he is bringing his new girlfriend to the town's annual Christmas Market.
To save Jolie from a lonely and awkward homecoming, her best friend Naomi (), a lawyer, devises a creative solution: a Christmas Contract .
