Despite the surreal and often crude premise, the journey involves managing high-level commanders, troop counts, and unique character skills to overcome rival nations. Sengoku Rance Review for PC - GameFAQs

In the surreal, war-torn landscape of Japan, a brash and unapologetic continental warrior named Rance crosses the Tenma Bridge, accompanied by his loyal, soft-spoken attendant, Sill Plain. His goal is simple and entirely self-serving: to claim every beautiful woman in the land.

Nobunaga provides the legitimate name for the conquest, while Rance provides the tactical (and often chaotic) force.

As Rance maneuvers through a complex web of rival clans and legendary figures, he finds himself in a deep turn-based strategy RPG. Every victory on the battlefield translates to "Satisfaction Points," which Rance uses to fuel his own strength and progress. However, beneath the conquest lies a world where ancient curses and "alternate what-if scenarios" can drastically shift the fate of Japan, forcing Rance to balance his hedonistic whims with the actual survival of the country.
