In the pilot episode of " Castle ," titled " Flowers for Your Grave ," the worlds of fiction and reality collide when a copycat killer begins staging crime scenes to mirror the murders in Richard Castle's novels. The episode, which premiered on March 9, 2009, introduces the playboy mystery author as he is brought in for questioning by Detective Kate Beckett.
