Foreshorten Link

In the context of computer-aided design (CAD), specifically within , "foreshorten" refers to a technique used in engineering drawings to represent dimensions when an object's geometry—such as a radius or a linear edge—extends beyond the boundaries of a drawing view or interferes with other elements. SolidWorks Foreshortening Overview

the side of the dimension line you wish to shorten. Select Display Options from the context menu. Choose Foreshorten . foreshorten

: By default, SolidWorks can detect when a dimension should be foreshortened, especially if an end of the geometry is outside the drawing view. How to Apply Foreshortening In the context of computer-aided design (CAD), specifically

Foreshortening allows for clear documentation of large features in limited space by using "zigzag" symbols or shortened dimension lines. Choose Foreshorten

If a dimension is not automatically foreshortened, you can apply it manually:

: You can specify document-level defaults for linear foreshortening via Tools > Options > Document Properties > Dimensions > Linear .

: Automatically shortens a radius dimension when it is dragged from a main view into a detail view, keeping the center point and dimension updated even as they move.

I’m working through your walk through and I am stuck at

    “virt-install –connect qemu:///system –arch=x86_64 -n ws2012 -r 2048 –vcpus=2 –disk path=/tmp/ws2012.qcow2,device=disk,bus=virtio,size=15 -c /mnt/Source/en_windows_server_2012_x64_dvd_915478.iso –vnc –noautoconsole –os-type windows –os-variant win7 –network=bridge:virbr0 –disk path=/mnt/Source/en_windows_server_2012_x64_dvd_915478.iso,device=cdrom,perms=ro -c /mnt/Source/virtio-win-0.1-81.iso”

I get: ERROR Unknown argument ‘-connect’

I cannot find any online support for this and I’ve been googling for hours now, I’m wondering if you had an idea how I can get past this step?
