Free Download (v0.14.2) — Anvil Saga

He started a new game. His character, a nameless smith in a damp cellar, didn't wait for player input. The avatar turned toward the screen, its pixelated eyes fixed on Arthur. A text box appeared at the bottom of the screen: "The iron requires a soul to hold its edge."

The monitor went black. Arthur sat in the darkness, the smell of sulfur lingering. He looked down at his desk. The letter opener was gone. In its place sat a heavy, iron ingot, still radiating enough heat to singe the wood. Underneath it, scratched into the desk by an invisible hand, were the numbers: 0.14.2. The screen didn't show the usual studio logos. Instead, a wall of soot-blackened text scrolled past, followed by the rhythmic clink-clank of a heavy anvil. When the main menu appeared, the background wasn't a pre-rendered village, but a live, flickering forge that felt uncomfortably warm against his face. He started a new game

The version number in the corner of the screen, v0.14.2, began to count backward. 0.14.1. 0.14.0. As the numbers dropped, the lights in Arthur’s room dimmed, replaced by an orange, flickering glow emanating from the monitor. The smell of burning coal and hot slag filled the air. A text box appeared at the bottom of
